" Thou comest to me with a sword and a spear and a shield, but I come to thee in the name of the L-rd of Hosts, the G-d of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast humiliated..." (I Samuel, 17:45-47)

Insubordination? Or Answering To A Higher Authority

Something is happening. A spark has been kindled in the hearts of certain young Jews. We keep reading about religious soldiers in combat units who have started to protest the expulsion of Jews. First there were the two men who made a provocative protest at their swearing-in-ceremony at the kotel. Recently, four soldiers unfurled a banner condemning expulsions from the roof of their military base. Not surprisingly, the Hellenists in government are terrified at what appears to be a growing phenomenon and they are responding harshly, throwing them out of their units permanently, and throwing them into the brig for a month.

Netanyahu has the gall to speak of "insubordination", and how such actions will be the downfall of the country. The nerve of this quisling! If anything, such individuals restore some sense of morality to an army that has become a demoralized pawn of the Left. Let me tell you about the kind of insanity that what will bring down the country:
  • A Prime Minister who has committed treason during two separate terms in office.
  • Quisling politicians who exploit the military for political purposes, and use the soldiers of the IDF to commit human rights violations against their own people.
Neyanyahu can trot out a thousand mamlachti Rabbis to condemn these young men. Neither he nor the disgraceful religious pawns of the mixed multitude will ever understand what drives those who answer to the highest authority. They may never serve in combat again, but these soldiers are the true Maccabees.

Am Yisroel Chai!
