A Heartbreaking Story

Shira Bar-El, a Three-Year-Old Fighter

by Gil Ronen (Arutz Sheva)

(IsraelNN.com) The Bar-El family – dad, mom, and three sweet children – lived their lives happily until one day, when their daughter Shira fell ill. They thought it must be one of the common childhood ailments until tests showed them that Shira, three years old, had brain cancer.

Their lives were turned upside down. Shira's father had to quit his job so that he could be with her in the oncological ward at Tel HaShomer Hospital. His wife has to find time to visit the hospital and also raise the other four children."More Israel News"

The Jewish Fist Commentary: A heartbreaking story like this really puts things in perspective. While we sit around complaining about our silly little sniffles and runny noses, we should remind ourselves that there are people out there with real health problems. Like small children with cancer. May Hakadosh Baruch Hu grant this little girl a full and speedy recovery.

Shabbat Shalom.
