" Thou comest to me with a sword and a spear and a shield, but I come to thee in the name of the L-rd of Hosts, the G-d of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast humiliated..." (I Samuel, 17:45-47)

Feiglin On His Back

Netanyahu Wins Vote to Delay Party Elections - Politics & Gov't - Israel News - Israel National News

I'm tired of writing about Moshe Feiglin and his army of Feiglinites. I'm tired of repeating myself and citing the same arguments over and over, as proof that Feiglin's master plan of rehabilitating the Likud is nothing but a grand delusion. I'm tired because Feiglinites invariably disappoint you when you appeal to their reason. Instead of answering questions and presenting thoughtful arguments, they read a chapter out of Manhigut Yehudit's playbook and parrot the same talking points. Or they get testy because you questioned their savior. Trying to reason with them is an exercise in the most impotent form of futility.

Yesterday wasn't a good day for Manhigut Yehudit. Feiglin had a chance to show his detractors that he was relevant and that the real "Likudniks" were behind him. What happened was worse than a beating. He was knocked out cold by the core constituency of a party he claims to represent. Over 77% voted for Netanyahu's plan to postpone elections (a ploy that gives Netanyahu ample time to stuff the party with "moderates" who support Oslo), and to turn the Likud constitution into an even greater sham than it already is.

And yet even after this most recent beating at the hands of his so-called supporters, Feiglin had the gall to call for the other religious Zionist parties to join the Likud. The same party that is slicing open Israel's throat on the world stage. The same weak-kneed Likud that grovels before Obama and the anti-Semites of the European Union, freezes construction, sells modern tanks to Turkey, beats up, imprisons, and harasses Jews, releases Jew-killers and arms them with assault rifles, allows rockets to fall on the southern towns of the country, closes down critical checkpoints, gives up Jewish land to the Arab Amalekites, closes the Temple Mount to Jews while propping up the accursed Wakf, and continues on the general and specific path of the treasonous Oslo accords. Is Feiglin insane? Did he forget yesterday's beating? Is he brain-damaged?

Several things are clear:
  • The majority of the Likud Party rejects Moshe Feiglin and his vision. His party and platform are an absolute sham. The Likud supports Netanyahu. There is no grassroots revolution within the party. Feiglin is a liar.
  • Feiglin craves power and respectability with the mindless pursuit of a zombie hungry for some brains. His ego is such that he cannot admit his mistakes, even when the truth hits him in the head and knocks him out cold.
Feiglin's loyalists have a decision to make. Will they continue to follow him into the abyss of irrelevance, or have they discovered the obvious truth, that Feiglin speaks for no one in the party. When was the last time that you heard anyone other than his lackeys publicly come out to support or defend him?

The Likud of today is the party of Benjamin Netanyahu, a despicable man who has no principles and no spine. It's time for the reasonable Feiglinites to wake up, because it is clear that Moshe Feiglin never will. Those who continue to support Feiglin are partners in the destruction of Israel. Its as simple as that. If only Feiglin heeded the title of his own book.

"Where there are no men...."

Here are several links to some past posts on Feiglin. There is a pattern here. Feiglin never learns:

I think you’re right. Over and maybe even above of the by now proven failure of the Feiglin rhetoric, because it never worked, because it does not work, because it can not work and because it will not work, what I think is even worst, is that he siphons off good part of the best Jewish political energy that there is in Israel and funnels it right back where it really does not belong: to the center of a corrupted system of politics, in fact ensuring the complete uselessness of these (on paper well meaning) forces.
